Andy + Sam's Wedding Day

Andy + Sam's wedding day was so special! I drove over bright and early to La Crosse in the morning to meet up with Sam and her ladies at the salon. Afterwards, I snuck over to the hotel to grab a few detail photos before everyone headed over to the venue to get dressed. Sam got ready privately and revealed her dress to her bridesmaids, which was SO cute! Next, we met up with Sam’s dad for a first look. Many tears were shed! Andy and the groomsmen arrived shortly after to finish getting ready. Andy’s mom assisted with his boutonniere.

It was finally time for the first look with Sam and Andy! We positioned Andy in the alleyway outside of the venue and Sam snuck up and tapped him on the shoulder. It was such a sweet moment! Then, the wedding party headed to Riverside Park for the group formals and individuals. We finished up with family photos in the alley, and then took a few portraits inside the venue. The wedding party hid away as guests began to arrive, and I worked on ceremony and reception detail photos. The venue was beautifully decorated with a stunning hexagon arch, greenery, and lots of gorgeous candles.

The ceremony was officiated by Andy’s father, which was such a sweet personal touch. Sam and Andy read each other personalized vows, which is always my favorite part of a ceremony! There were lots of tears and laughs as they read them. They exchanged rings and sealed it with a kiss! After the ceremony, we took a few more family photos, and then we headed back to Riverside Park for bride and groom portraits, while the party headed to a local bar. We had some gorgeous glowy light, which made for some stunning portraits! On the way to the bar, we swung by the Pearl, where Sam used to work in college (and where the evening’s dessert was from!). The couple enjoyed their first drink as a married couple and mingled with their guests. I headed back to the venue to check out how it had been transformed for the reception - and it was so pretty!

We enjoyed an amazing dinner, followed by some lovely speeches from Sam’s dad, the maid of honor, and best man. After a quick break to sign the marriage license, it was time for Sam to scoop up the Pearl Ice Cream for her husband - just like old times!

The couple shared their first dance, followed by a dance with Sam and her father, and Andy and his mother. And then it was time to party! And boy, this group knew how to dance! The dance floor was so wild, and I am not sure anyone took any breaks! Overall, the wedding day was absolutely gorgeous and so much fun! I am so glad I got to be a part of this lovely day!
