Brady + Korinne's Wedding Day

Wooow this was an incredible day! When these two were first describing their vision, I knew it was going to be special -- Harry Potter themed, Ian's Pizza, and on a Monday! I was sold. I started out the day at their home, where Korinne was getting ready with her bridesmaids. First I finally got a peek at her black gown, and I absolutely love it. Then I used the officiant's (a previous bride of mine, Jen) cape to work with all of their details. I super lucked out that Buttons decided to check out what I was doing and grace me with her paws right in frame. It made for one of my favorite shots, probably ever, with Korinne's ring and the officiant's book.

After, the group all got dressed, and then we headed over to Olbrich Gardens for some group and individual portraits. The GLEAM exhibit at Olbrich Gardens made for an amazing, colorful backdrop! Meanwhile, Erik, the second photographer, met up with Brady at the hotel. He captured Brady's details, and then Brady opening his gift from Korinne. After, Erik headed to the venue to start on ceremony details, while I met Brady and his crew at a park near the venue for their group photos. The bridesmaid group headed home to have lunch.

The afternoon sun glowed over the ceremony, and it was incredibly gorgeous. It was so fun seeing all the guests dressed up in theme (Erik and I dressed up as well!). It was a beautiful moment seeing Korinne and Brady see each other as they walked down the aisle. Brady had no idea about the color of Korinne's dress. They exchanged vows and rings, and it was official! After the ceremony, we got a few photos with the couple's pets, Wrigley and Buttons, before they had to head home. Then we did the family and wedding party photos, followed by couple portraits. We had some absolutely stunning light!

I think nearly everybody's jaws dropped when they walked into the reception hall -- it was perfectly decorated to look like the Great Hall at Hogwarts, complete with potions, keys, and candles floating midair. Each table was color coded by house, and guests would be sorted by finding their hat name tag. Of course, it wouldn't be complete with out the sweets table, brought to you by Honeyduke's. Their cake was made and decorated by another one of my brides, Ashley, who also hosted for the evening. When it came to dancing time, there were even socks so people could free themselves from any uncomfortable footwear. It was all simply amazing, and so well thought out.

The wedding party made their grand entrance into the hall, and Korinne and Brady kicked it all off with their first dance. We then heard some fantastic speeches while we enjoyed Ian's pizza. Then the dancing portion of the evening began!

This was so much fun. I am so honored to have captured this day for Korinne and Brady. A special thanks to Erik Weiss, who captured it alongside me.
