A dark & dreamy wedding.

I absolutely loved everything about this wedding day! The morning started off a lovely air bnb, where Katelyn was getting ready with her family and soon-to-be in-laws. After working with her details, Katelyn was finishing up with make up. It was time to get her into her stunning gown, so her mother and sister assisted with that. After, we all headed over to the venue, The Atrium.

My second photographer, Cara, arrived to The Atrium before I did so she could capture Nathan's details and getting dressed. Once I arrived, I did a quick first look with Katelyn and her dad. We got a few individual portraits out of the way, and photographed the ceremony space next. It was set up in such a unique way with the couple at the center and all of the guests in a circle surrounding them. It was time for the ceremony to start shortly after!

Nathan walked down the aisle with his nephew, which was so sweet. Katelyn's niece walked the couple's dog, Sammy, down the aisle, and they both looked gorgeous! Next, Katelyn came down the aisle with her father, and Nathan's reaction was priceless. All You Need Is Love led and officiated the ceremony, and she always does such a fantastic job. The couple each shared their vows, which they had written themselves. After exchanging rings, the couple gave a kiss. Because of the unique set up and having two photographers, we each stood one one side of the couple, which I think made for a really cool set of shots!

We headed up to the rooftop for portraits, starting with a few couple portraits, and then family photos. Cara headed back downstairs after the room had been flipped for dinner to capture reception details. I stayed upstairs and captured cocktail hour, which was in the atrium. The reception started shortly after, with Katelyn and Nathan entering with Sammy. We heard a few wonderful toasts, and then it was time for the first dance. Next, Katelyn shared a dance with her father, and Nathan shared one with his mother. It was one of those moments where I hid my tears behind my camera a bit :')

The DJ opened up the dancefloor, and we snuck back upstairs for a few more portraits. I love it when couples are willing to do a few night time shots, especially when we have a quick and beautiful spot to go to, like at the Atrium. I am so happy with how they turned out!

This wedding was such a perfect start to the year, and I am so glad Katelyn + Nathan picked me to be a part of their day. Special thanks to Cara Wood, who was my amazing second photographer for this day.
