Ashley + Ben's Wedding Day

When I say Ben and Ashley's wedding was a dream wedding, I mean it! Throughout the whole process and being at the wedding itself, it was so obvious to me how much work these two were putting in to make their day absolutely perfect. It SO paid off because every single detail was beautiful and the day was so fun!

In the morning, I stopped by the salon with Ashley and the ladies, where they were getting hair and make up done. I snuck over to the hotel while they finished up to work on detail photos. I took Ashley's gorgeous dress (I seriously LOVE that fabric!!) to the staircase in the lobby, and I'm so glad I did! Shortly after, the ladies arrived to get dressed. Ashley's mom and sister helped get her into her gown, and with her finishing touches, and then shortly after it was time to head over to the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the second photographer, Anya, was with Ben and the groomsmen. They were at the Overture, where they got dressed, and then they went out onto State Street to take group photos. After, they hid away while I worked with the bridesmaids. We headed out to State as well, where a group of carolers spotted the beautiful bride and serenaded her! It was such a wonderful and spontaneous moment.

We headed back to the venue so we could do a few detail photos of the ceremony space as guests began to arrive. The ceremony began shortly after. When Ben saw Ashley for the first time down the aisle, it was so precious! There were no dry eyes! The ceremony was officiated by a dear friend, which made it so special. Ben and Ashley exchanged lovely personalized vows and then their rings. The newly married couple shared a kiss!

We took family photos and then the wedding party photos before venturing back outside. We headed up to the capitol building, around the square, and then back to the Overture. We nailed the timing because we had such stunning golden light for the bride and groom portraits! As Anya and I worked on the reception detail photos during cocktail hour, Ben and Ashley took a beat to stop in and see all their hard work paying off, and I'm so glad we caught their reaction - pure joy.

After, they signed the marriage license, and then it was time for the grand entrance. We had suuuuch a delicious dinner, accompanied by some delightful speeches. After, we played the photo impossible game, which was super fun (and I always recommend!). Ben & Ashley shared their first dance as a married couple, followed by dances with their parents. And then it was time to party! It was so fun to see all their friends and family get down on the dance floor!

I am so grateful to have been a part of this perfect day! It was seriously such a dream! Thanks to their wonderful vendors and my second shooter, Anya Kubilus, who all helped to contribute to the success of Ben & Ashley's day.
